Monthly Instrument Rentals

Automatic instrument rental payments through PayPal

Instrument rental payments are due on the first Thursday of each month.  We will be able to take payments in person the first two Thursdays of each month.  A payment coupon must accompany your in-person or mailed payment so you can be correctly credited with your payment to your account.  Please print out coupons and fill them out with the months for which you are paying. Payments can be mailed to UVYO, P.O. Box 549, Roseburg, OR 97470  

​(Remember that until you turn in a rented instrument, your family is responsible for the monthly rental fees as long as that instrument remains in your possession.)

Notes for parents and students:

Lost music:    UVYO encourages students to keep close track of assigned music!  For lost music, you will be charged $1 per page of each song for a replacement copy, to cover photocopying fees, the cost of tape, and the time of the individual who copies and prepares this music for you...so please make sure you don't lose your music!   To obtain replacement copies of sheet music, please go to the rental/payment table and pay for the song(s) you need to purchase.  You will be handed a receipt; please show this receipt either to your teacher or to the person in charge of handing out replacement music in your classroom.  Thank you.

All for Strings books:  Some UVYO classes require each student to purchase an All for Strings book (either Book 1 or Book 2).  The cost for the 2022-23 season is around $7 per book.  These may be purchased at the payments table during rehearsals.  Please keep close track of your own book and write your name on the front cover in case you accidentally leave it at a rehearsal.  You may also purchase a copy online:

Music Stands:  Each student is required to purchase and bring a portable music stand to weekly rehearsals.  You may purchase one locally or online (these are just suggested stands, so please purchase one that fits your budget):

How to purchase a violin, viola, cello, or bass:
Most UVYO students will be able to rent a stringed instrument on a monthly basis, starting at $5 per month for violins (with slightly higher rates for larger instruments).  If you would like to purchase your own instrument instead, please contact Kristin Parks at (541) 643-5035 to have a quality, well-priced instrument ordered for you.  Please don't order your own new or used instrument online or purchase an instrument locally without having Kristin Parks inspect it first.
